Isaiah 41:10
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Most days I groan as I hear the alarm buzz an hour before I think I need to get up. Those stiff muscles remind me I don’t just bounce out of bed like I used to when four little sets of slippers demanded Rice Krispies in a bowl. Now it’s just hubby and I but the effort to haul this decades old body from horizontal to vertical takes effort. No, I don’t want to go to work… I’m having a mental tantrum. Can’t I wish my responsibilities away and go back to dreamland? Finally I jerk my body upwards and start the day. He is with me.
He upholds me with his righteous right hand.
At work no one will call me back and I have a deadline with three articles for the paper just handing out to dry. Finally I get a couple of phone calls with enough information to finish my piece.
He upholds me with his righteous right hand.
A daughter calls with a crisis on the home front.
He upholds me with his righteous right hand.
Heading home after a day at work and I remember we have leftover chili so I don’t have to think of what to cook for dinner.
He upholds me with his righteous right hand.
When I was young I didn’t realize how much He was there. Now, He pulls me through every day.
He upholds me with his righteous right hand.
